HUNTER SAFETY CLASS SCHEDULE FOR 2010:
- The Resource Enforcement and Compliance Branch has had great success in offering free Hunter Safety classes on Camp Pendleton. Hunter Safety classes are scheduled on a monthly basis starting in February 2010 through December 2010.
- Anyone wanting to hunt in California and on Camp Pendleton must possess a hunting license from a previous year to purchase a new hunting license, or a Certificates of Completion from an approved Hunter Education training course. You are required to have both a California State Hunting License and a Camp Pendleton Hunting Permit and be at least 12 years of age to hunt on Camp Pendleton.
- The Federal Game Wardens office will be conducting free Hunter Education classes each month and Instructors will issue Certificates of Completion when students successfully complete the class.
- Classes will be held at the Warden’s office located in building 2648. Classes start promptly at 8:30am and last all day. Please bring a bag lunch, water or drinks that you may need for the entire day. A break room, refrigerator, microwave oven, water and restrooms are provided on-site for your convenience.
- The class dates for 2010 are: Sunday, February 21; Sunday, March 21; Saturday, April 17; Sunday, May 16; Sunday, June 20; Saturday, July 17; Sunday, August 15; Sunday, September 19; Saturday, October 16; Sunday November 21; and Sunday, December 12.
- Please call our office at 725-3360 for further information or prior to the monthly class to place your name on the next month’s class roster. You can also contact Game Warden Frank Hernandez, Hunter Safety Program Administrator Sunday through Wednesday for more specific hunter safety information.
